Heads UP: against bot
10 jan 2017
When in 2015 a group of professionals headed by Douglas Polk outplayed poker bot created by the University of Carnegie-Mellon, the scientists have begun to work out a second version of the bot immediately. Recall that the first bot named Claudico has been beaten for 80,000 hands that provide winners with the virtual prize of $732.713.
However, from January 11, the rematch will be kicked off. New bot's name is Libratus and it would be standing against 120,000 hands during 20 days. This fight will be broadcasted on Twitch-channel, and the winner will receive $200,000.
One of the Challenge participants, poker player Jimmy Chow, believes that soon artificial intelligence would squeeze out poker, chess, go and checkers.
