10-minute heads-ups
MPN Poker Network announced the testing of a new heads-up format. It is called "10-minute heads-up". As you can guess from the name, a match will last 10 minutes. If there is no winner on the expiry of this time, both players will be forced to make all-in every hand until the winner be identified.
The match is held every 10 minutes at the same level 25/50. As the head of a poker department of MPN Alex Scott said, they have encouraged to make that step due to feedbacks from players who wanted to play heads-up SnG but with deep stacks. Currently, 10-minute heads-ups are presented in the form of experiment with a buy-in of €0.11.
In general, MPN network plans to carry out a deep revision of the entire buy-in schedule in their sit-n-go games. Thus, the management plans to provide the following buy-in structure for SnG: €0.11, €0.22, €0.55, €1.10, €2.20, €3,30, €5,50, €11, €22, €33, €55 , €110, €215, €320, €530, €1050. As Alex noted, thanks to innovations, the rake for SnG would not be increased, it would be even declined slightly in some cases.
