Full Tilt + PokerStars. What does it mean for players?
So, as we have reported earlier, Amaya officially announced the closing of the poker room Full Tilt. Since April, a well-known brand will be integrated into the PokerStars as a skin. What does it mean for players?
This means that Full Tilt will retain its brand-name and some distinctive design features, but the software will be provided by PokerStars.
After the merger, Full Tilt software will be removed, the room will become a skin of PokerStars network. Players will be able to use a common account for each room. In addition to software Full Tilt will inherit from the PokerStars a VIP-program and rake. Amaya also plans to retain the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS), but this series would be available only for players of Full Tilt. It should be noted that the 29th FTOPS which will be held on February 29, is the last event, which takes place at the Full Tilt software.
As for the variety of fast-fold poker from FT RushPoker, this format remains the same but its players will merge into a single pool with players of Zoom. All FT players can use their usual avatars in the room PokerStars.
Managing Director of Full Tilt Dominic Mansour will stay in the company's structure to monitor the merger process, after that he would change his post. Most of the employees will be transferred to other positions in the IT-department.
Amaya also said that it wasn't going to sell a software of Full Tilt.
