2016 World Series of Poker schedule announced
Recently a full schedule of the World Series of Poker for 2016 has been presented to the public. This year the dates of the series moved a little, now it starts on May 31 and will end on July 18. Series will include 69 events with bracelets. This series promises to be rich in terms of innovations. Here are two key innovations: now Main Event and any other event with buy-in of $10k will be played with a starting stack of 50,000, not 30,000 as it was before.
In most events with bracelets and Main Event not 10% players, but 15% get ITM! This means that ITM will begin on the first day.
Also, the organizers promise:
• Prize pool of $7m with guarantee of $1m to a winner of the tournament in Colossus II.
• The starting time of most tournaments will be shifted for an hour. Now they will begin at 11 A.M. and 3 P.M.
Also new events will be held this year, among them are:
• June 5: Event # 4 - $1,000 Top Up Turbo No-Limit Hold'em. (Levels by 20 minutes)
• June 9: Event # 12 - $565 Pot-Limit Omaha with re-entry. (The cheapest kind of Omaha at the WSOP)
• June 15: Event # 23 - $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em - (Here is a new $2k buy-in).
• June 23: Event # 40 - $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball including Limit A-5, 2-7 and Badugi.
• June 26: Event # 45 - $1,500 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em / Pot-Limit Omaha. Mix of the two most popular games.
• June 30: Event # 53 - $1,500 Mixed Pot-Limit Omaha-8 / Omaha-8 / Big O. Triple winning in three varieties of Omaha.
• July 1: Event # 54 A / B / C / D - $888 Crazy Eights Eight-Handed No-Limit Hold'em - $ 888,888 - guarantee for the winner.
• July 7: Event # 61 - $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em. It's a team tournament. The team may consist of 2-4 people. They should register together. $1,000 from each team. *
* All members of the winning team will receive their own gold bracelet WSOP.
