One of the largest Indian states has banned online poker

Indian online poker rooms PokerStars. IN, Adda52, Spartan Poker and PokerBaazi had to leave the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

This happened after the government of Andhra Pradesh passed a decree according to which all forms of real money games including online poker have been criminalized and prohibited.

Andhra Pradesh is located in the south-eastern nearshore region of India and is one of the largest states in the country both in terms of area size and economic. Its population is about 50 million, and its GDP per capita is higher than the national average performance.
