Online store Alibaba will be promoting poker in China

14 mar 2016

Online store Alibaba announced the beginning of a strategic partnership with Oceans Sports. The result of this deal should be a joint launch of a new poker product Match Poker.
Match Poker is not a classic poker room. Match Poker is an analogue of cyber sports where team members play poker on gadgets without using real cards and real money. There are virtual chips in the game, and there is no rake. Organizers expect the Match Poker to make a profit thanks to subscriptions, which everyone who wants play would buy, as well as through advertising and sponsorship.
The International Federation of Poker (IFP) has actively been participating in the development of this product, and Match Poker would be promoted in China by its President Patrick Nally. While the first objective of the organizers is 2 million registrations for the first five years. Patrick Nally is convinced that this is a real figure because the cooperation between Oceans and Alibaba Sports creates one of the most powerful trends in sports marketing.
