PokerStrars: Neymar's return and anonymous tables
This week PokerStrars announced two more news at once. The first is Neymar's return as brand ambassador. Recall that the Brazilian footballer had previously represented PS, but cooperation ended in 2017.
Neymar is known as a huge poker fan who has attended several live events such as the EPT Barcelona. He also became famous for playing online poker at PokerStars with his native Brazilian national team which played the match without him due to his injury.
Obviously, the re-signing of Neymar is a testament to the company's desire to keep up with the strategy of GGPoker, which invited celebrities as ambassadors for their brand.
The second piece of news is that Stars test options with anonymous tables in a segregated European market. Anonymous tables are not new to the poker ecosystem, they are actively used by various operators.
However, the Stars traditionally decided to test the innovation in a small market where they offered NL5 and NL10 players to try their hand at tables with a special “Stealth Mode” mark.
However, the anonymous tables at PokerStars are quite interesting. Instead of your nickname, other players will see a random nickname. In this case, the player can view his HH later. If players leave the table, they can return within four hours, while retaining the same random name.
