David Baazov has gone on leave for an indefinite period
The clouds are continuing to pile up around Baazov. After the AMF filed charges against Baazov which in the case of evidence the guilty of Amaya' CEO provide the imprisonment for a term of 5 years and a fine of $5,000,000. A close friend and brother of Baazov have also fallen under suspicion.
Of course, in this situation David Baazov has to wait with the purchasing of Amaya. However, yesterday it was officially confirmed: David Baazov goes on vacation at his own expense.
However, Baazov is (officially) at the helm of the company, although some temporary changes in the Amaya's leadership have occurred: Dave Gadya was appointed as an interim chairman and Rafi Ashkenazi - an interim CEO.
Baazov states that he was prompted to that step by the recent events connected with the accusation. Amaya's CEO wants to prepare himself for trial and to be away from the company not to harm it.
