The Dutch online poker market is about to change from October 1st
Almost a year ago, we wrote about how the Dutch gambling market would change if new gambling laws are implemented. A year has passed and most of the forecasts and legislative initiatives have become reality. Read about new changes below.
After the new laws come into force on October 1, all unlicensed operators accepting players from the Netherlands will have to cease their work by November 1.
This primarily applies to such giants as PokerStars, partypoker, 888poker and Unibet. They will be forced to leave the Netherlands, and be able to return only after they receive a license.
This may not happen earlier than in 6 months, as all of these operators, except for 888, were fined by KSA for active attracting Dutch players. So that, these operators will be able to obtain a license no earlier than the second quarter of 2022.
The only major operator that can get benefit from this situation may be GGPoker which left the market deliberately much earlier and were not fined. We have reported previously that GGPoker left Holland in order to come back there legally.
Anyway, in the next six months the Dutch players will have to suffer due to the lack of the action. However, you don’t need to suffer, as we have a good rakeback deal, just write to us!
