PartyPoker: anonymous hand history
PartyPoker has officially announced the introduction of an anonymous hand history on 5 October. Nevertheless, the ability to view players's own hand history would remain, players won't be allowed to view opponent's statistics because from now each contestant would receive a special digital number instead of nickname.
By the way, there will be the same situation at the table: you will see your own nickname, but players will be denoted simply by numbers for each other.
The head of PartyPoker Tom Walters believes that these changes would make the experience on Bwin/Party «fairer and more ethical." Walters believes that these innovations would offer fair and competitive struggle, "that is beneficial for both beginners and professionals."
But that's not all innovations. After an anonymous hand history would have been launched, players would receive a one-time right to change their nicknames. These changes apply only to cash games, tournaments remain the same.
