Ukraine\: e\-wallets forbidden

Ukraine: e-wallets forbidden

08 nov 2016

On November 7th National Bank of Ukraine has forbidden the use of four payment systems: Webmoney, Yandex.Money, QIWI Wallet and WalletOne. As NBU explained, the terms of use of these payment providers were not agreed with the regulator. With this said, ban is not spread on in-country payment system Webmoney.UA. At this point there is no information on how this would influence customers from Ukraine, but most likely withdrawals to Ukrainian banks would not be allowed. And there is still no clarity on what's gonna happen to transactions in process.

We would like to remind you that no so long ago other Russian based payment systems were also banned in Ukriane, like "Golden Crown", "Blizko", International Money Transfers "Leader", "Anelik", "Unistream" and "Colibri". In this situatution the best solution for Ukrainian customers could be a choice of EcoPayz payment system, which we recently told you about. Favorable exchange rate, low fees and full confidentiality with EcoPayz!
