Unibet Group Plc confirmed that it has become the first gambling company that conducted the integration of BankID in Sweden.
Swedish BankID in an electronic system for customer identification which allows operator to carry out the process of authentication and verification of their clients much faster and more efficiently. According to press release that Unibet has issued on the eve, BankID will be integrated directly into the Unibet services. The operator said that it sought to strengthen its initiatives in the field of safety and security for the entire Swedish market.
Commenting on the news, the head of Unibet Group security department Daniel Gambin said:
"By integrating BankID, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to innovative solutions, being the first operator in the gaming space using this technology. Along with the improvement of customer service quality, the innovation adds greater security and with other decisions of the electronic control works to enhance global security and the security of our Swedish customer base."
Currently BankID is the leading electronic system of financial identification in Sweden. The system has 6.5 million unique registered users.
